Research tasks
At the Taihu the SIGN research project will take the whole water cycle into account:
- a powerful sewer system
- a competent management of water resources
- with adapted monitoring strategies
- a capable water treatment process
- an efficient distribution of the drinking water
German water technologies and management concepts will be specifically developed and adopted to accommodate Chinese boundary conditions. Scientific progress as well as practical applicability will be ensured by the strong linkage between partners from science and practice in Germany as well as in China. The project runs from 2015 to 2018.
